We are excited to invite you to be a part of our community of sexologists, surrogate partners, clinicians, educators, bodyworkers, intimacy coaches, kinksters and healing professionals who are dedicated to ethical, consent based practices, boundaried loving care in community, erotic embodiment, and restorative justice.
As experts in the field of sexuality, education and healing, we believe that everyone deserves to experience connection, pleasure, intimacy, and connection in a safe and consensual way. Our mission is to empower individuals to find their voice and to create a world where their choice and expression is celebrated and respected.
We invite you to join us in this movement by attending our upcoming training, which will provide you with this revolutionary model of Authentic Consent Training, including panel discussions and networking opportunities with other like-minded professionals.
You will have the chance to learn from experts in the field, share your own experiences and insights, and connect with others who are passionate about promoting sexual empowerment and justice. You will leave certified and skilled to facilitate consent workshops and to coach people in your community on authentic consent practices.
Course outline
This course is taught as a 6 session online course OR in an in-person setting with 2 modules per day and 1 day of play & practice.
In addition to the live or in-person zoom classes, you are invited to join in on any of the series of coaching calls and practice sessions* offered for up to one year after completion.
Coaching calls and practice groups are one hour long and held on select Saturdays at 9am EST and on Mondays at 7pm EST. You will be sent information on registration upon completion of the training.
Module 1: Introduction
• Welcome, community agreements & housekeeping
• Principles of Authentic Consent
• Overview of tools used to explore different consent dynamics
Module 2: Body Awareness & Boundaries
• The Body before the No/Yes
• Discovering Your Authentic "Yes"
• Incorporate embodiment practices to help participants identify their genuine desires and boundaries
• Use somatic practices to help participants feel more comfortable and safe in their own bodies
Module 3: The Sacred Pause
• Communicating Consent from Our Center
• Accessing the sacred pause as a tool for ensuring all parties have the opportunity to process and connect
• Authenticity in Practice
• Embodied consent in practice
Module 4: Trauma Informed Approach
• Communication strategies as tools for embodied consent
• The Principles of Trauma Informed Care
• Honoring trauma in consent work
• Safety; Trustworthiness & transparency;
• Peer support; Collaboration & mutuality;
• Empowerment & choice;
• Cultural, historical & gender issues.
Module 5: Consent in Relationships
• Applying standards and boundaries in various relationship dynamics to support consent expression.
• Explore how kink offers important lessons about consent and how to apply these in all types of interpersonal relationships
• Provide practical techniques for creating more satisfying and safer experiences through consistent and intentional communication
Module 6: Integration
• Practice authentic embodied consent techniques in a safe and supportive environment
• Encourage reflection and sharing throughout experiential practices
• Offer resources and support for continued exploration and practice of authentic embodied consent
• Recap key concepts and provide a space for feedback
